ASA is a very strong and hard material that is resistant to weather and UV radiation. It is therefore suitable for printing functional models that will be used in an outdoor environment. The printing properties and also the quality of 3D printing are the same as with ABS material, which makes ASA material suitable even for demanding applications.
The resistance of ASA material to aging and degradation is 10 times higher than that of ABS. Models made of this material are also very resistant to high temperatures (up to 105°C)
The disadvantage of this material is, similar to ABS, high thermal expansion, which can cause deformations of the model when it cools down. For larger models, we therefore recommend printing in a closed printing area.
